Five drops of colour, caught in a golden swirl
Rose, green and midnight blue gather in five luminous cabochons. Twisting gold-tone ropework sets them in motion. Pin it to a black coat and let the smallest detail change the whole look.
Christian Dior coloured cabochon brooch
Bold in colour. Effortless to wear.
Five teardrops turn around one another, each cradling a saturated glass cabochon. Tiny rhinestones sit discreetly in the twisted ropework. Against wool, silk or a simple black knit, its colour does the talking.

A different sort of Dior extravagance
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Dior costume jewellery made striking shapes and colour a part of dressing up. This piece draws on the teardrop motifs of Mughal jewellery. The seller suggests it was likely made by Henkel & Grosse, a long-standing Dior manufacturer; that remains an attribution rather than confirmed provenance.
