Wanted: Sony D-Z555 / D-555 Discman (1989)

Ghost Market is seeking leads for the original 1989 Sony D-Z555 portable CD player, also sold as the D-555. The target is the vintage dual-display Discman with digital sound-processing controls and an optical digital output. A complete, working unit is preferred, with reliable disc reading, track access and audio from both channels. Light scratches are acceptable. A repairable unit is also a useful lead if disc-reading faults, weak audio, display problems, capacitor work and previous repairs are disclosed. A dead or missing original battery is acceptable when clearly stated. Please provide photographs of the model/serial label, both displays, disc compartment, ports and battery area. A recent playback video and servicing history would help. Please identify the mains adapter and any case or accessories included, without assuming that an old rechargeable battery still works. Collector-owned units, specialist dealer listings and workshop leads are welcome. Ghost Market is gathering verifiable leads on its own behalf. No customer order, budget or payment commitment is attached.
